This is the correct speedometer drive unit for the 1968-1970 Triumph TR6,T120, and T150 models in the 1.25:1 ratio. Can also be used on BSA A65 and Norton Commando models with 11/16″ diameter axle, although a slightly larger gap will be visible when installed on the hub. Must be paired with 150 mph speedometer.
The speedometer drive gearbox replaces the original Smith’s BG5330/168 1.25:1 reversing drive unit that is bored to accept a 3/4″ rear wheel spindle. Quality construction from LF Harris in the UK.
The speedometer drive gearbox is fitted over the rear wheel spindle onto the hub and turns with the wheel. The internal gear drives the cable to the speedometer.
