G&S Valves

G&Amp;S Valves At The Bonneville Shop

High quality valves made in the UK. Since 1946 G&S Valves Ltd has been manufacturing a wide variety of valves from OEM to prototypes. They handle the full process in-house, including forging, heat treatment, machining, and grinding, which gives them control over quality. Their technical material emphasizes durability under heat and stress, better anti-friction properties at the stem and guide, and improved resistance to wear and corrosion which is well suited to vintage British motorcycles.

Product description

G&S Valves are precision-forged engine valves manufactured in the UK from high-grade valve steels, designed to deliver exceptional reliability and performance in demanding combustion engines. Each valve starts life as a plain steel rod that is electrically upset, close‑limit forged, and then meticulously machined, ground, heat treated and plasma treated in-house to achieve optimum strength, hardness and wear resistance. This end‑to‑end control of the process allows G&S to offer valves that maintain stability at extreme temperatures and engine speeds, making them ideal for everything from vintage road engines to top‑tier race motors.

As the only British manufacturer dedicated to these specialist valve components, G&S Valves supply many major OEM and high-performance engine builders, including Cosworth, Rolls‑Royce Motor Cars, Varity Perkins and numerous vintage car and motorcycle clubs. Their products have seen success at every level of motorsport—F1, Le Mans, IndyCar, sports car and club racing—demonstrating a proven track record under competition conditions. For classic and vintage enthusiasts, G&S also produce correctly specified replacements, such as side‑valve Norton engine valves that match original dimensions and accept standard hardware while offering superior modern materials and finish.
