Recommended for use as fuel or oil line, this quality reinforced hose is suitable for use on various models with 5/16″ oil pipe junction blocks, such as Triumph 350, 500, and 650 models. Also suitable as the return line for BSA A65 and Triumph 750 twins. Sold in a 5-ft. length.
The black neoprene rubber hose is braided for extra strength and covered in smooth rubber. Rated at 200 psi, the hose is fuel and oil resistant, making it ideal for applications where black fuel lines are desired.
The oil lines supply the oil fed from the oil tank to the oil pipe junction block, and also return the oil, as scavenged by the oil pump from the crankcase.
The oil line is measured for the application, then cut to length. Once fitted over the pipes, clips are used to secure the oil line to the pipes. In some applications, ferrules are used on the end of the oil lines.
Key Features:
-
- Reduced Expansion: Unlike rubber hoses that can expand under pressure, braided lines maintain their shape, ensuring more precise and responsive oil delivery. This can lead to improved engine performance and efficiency.
- Flexibility: Despite their strength, braided oil lines remain flexible, making them easier to route through tight spaces in the motorcycle’s engine compartment.
- Pressure Resistance: The braided construction allows these lines to withstand higher oil pressures without expanding. This results in more consistent oil flow and pressure, which is crucial for proper engine lubrication.
- Temperature Tolerance: Braided lines generally have better heat resistance, allowing them to maintain their integrity in high-temperature environments often found in motorcycle engines.
