The early unit-construction Triumph twins received an upgrade to the front forks for the 1964 model featuring external springs and improved seal holders. This matching set of fork stanchion tubes are supplied with the upper and lower bushings.
Quality manufactured fork stanchion tubes from TJ Wassell in the UK provide excellent fitment and performance at an attractive price, which includes a complete set of bronze bushings. The stanchions feature a wear-resistant hard chrome finish. Overall length is approximately 22″ and are 1-5/16″ OD. Threaded for 26 TPI CEI bearing nuts and fork top nuts.
The stanchions are captured in the lower and upper fork yokes and are sprung with external springs. The fork oil seal holders retain the seals and secure the fork lowers to the fork tubes. The integrity of the fork tubes is critical to the proper performance and safety of the suspension fork assembly.
The front wheel and mudguard must be removed to allow replacement of the fork tubes. The factory workshop procedures should be followed to ensure proper assembly of the front fork. A special fork tube puller tool makes reassembly easy. We offer the tool kit under part number TBS-5469.
