BSA supplied several iterations of the headlamp mounting brackets, or “ears”, for the A50 and A65 twin-cylinder models equipped with lights through 1970. While these are designated specifically for the 1967 models, they may be suitable fitment for the 1968-1970 models when the appropriate fork gaiters are fitted. This listing is for a matching left and right-hand set.
Finished in chrome-plating, the stamped steel headlamp brackets feature slotted headlamp mounting holes and are rolled at the base to suit the fork gaiters. Made in the UK by TJ Wassell.
The headlamp mounting brackets support the headlamp assembly and are mounted to the front fork assembly between the lower and upper fork yokes.
The brackets are mounted over the fork stanchion tubes and secured at the lower fork yoke with pinch bolts. The fork stanchion tubes must be lowered from the upper fork yoke sufficiently to capture each headlamp bracket, then pulled back into place into the upper yoke, usually requiring a fork tube puller tool. Refer to the factory workshop manual for more details on fork service.
