BSA singles and twin-cylinder models were fitted with very similar lifting handles, or “grab rails” from 1965-1970, with the primary difference being in the placement of the mounting tabs. This specific grab rail was specified for the 1967-1970 B25 and 1968-1970 B44 models.
This chrome grab rail has an overall length of approximately 11-13/16″, with an approximate width of 9-1/2″ between the front fixing points. The distance between the fixing points on each stay is 6″. Made in the UK by TJ Wassell.
The grab rail is mounted to the rear frame support rail and allows for a lifting handle to assist in placing the motorcycle on the main stand. It also serves as a loop for a passenger to grasp while seated on the motorcycle.
Installing the grab rail is straightforward as it is secured to the support rail with easily accessible bolts and nuts.
