Features of Amal Carburetors

The carburetor is a precision instrument that meters fuel with air to provide the correct mixture for efficient combustion. Jets provide the base adjustments and adjustment screws are used for fine-tuning the carburetor. Changes in air filters and exhaust systems can have an effect on jet selection and corresponding fine adjustments.

Amal Premier

Cast aluminum body shaves off 12 ounces vs stock or premier; hard anodized slide has a low friction surface for smoother operation and greater wear resistance. These carbs also feature precision engineered idle circuits, with removable pilot (a.k.a. idle) jets to improve performance from idle and reduce fuel consumption. They’re also equipped with the new ‘stay up’ ethanol resistant, puncture proof float and the new alloy Viton tipped needle for improved fuel flow control as standard features.

Amal Monobloc carburetor was specified in various conditions for fitment to large displacement British singles and twins from the early 1960s through 1967
