Sloppy, worn swinging arm bushes are one of the most noticeable causes of poor handling and unpredictable cornering. This kit contains the necessary parts to shore up the rear end of the 1960’s- era Triumph 650 models. Also suitable for fitment to the 1969-1970 BSA twins and 1969-1975 Triumph triples.
The 6-piece kit contains (2) each of the 82-6042 steel-backed bronze bushings, 82-6821 sleeves, and 82-8090 o-rings, enough to service both sides of the swinging arm. Manufactured to original specifications by LF Harris in the UK.
The bushings are pressed into the swinging arm. The sleeves, or “bobbins” are a sliding fit within the bushings. The o-rings form a seal against the outer end plates and prevent contamination to the grease within the housing.
While the pre-fit bushings are an interference fit into the ends of the cylindrical housing, they may require reaming or honing to allow fitment of the bobbins. Refer to the workshop manual for installation details.
LF Harris motorcycle spares are produced to the highest quality standards possible utilizing original Triumph tooling, dies, factory blueprints & materials combined with modern manufacturing equipment, tolerances & techniques.
