The dual seat is a visually prominent part of the restored motorcycle, and the seat cover should be finished in the correct pattern and color. This pattern was widely used throughout the Triumph range from 1969-1974 on the 500 and 650 twins, as well as the 750 triples through 1970. Not suitable for the 750 twins.
The cover features black piping around the top of the basketweave pattern upholstery and is finished off with a separate trim strip around the base of the cover. The Triumph logo is applied in a bright gold finish at the rear of the seat cover. Quality manufactured in the UK.
Although correct for the 1969-1970 500 and 650 twins, due to the same shape of the seat pan and foam, this cover could be used on the 1967-1968 twins seats when the basketweave pattern is desired.
The seat cover is stretched over the foam padding and seat pan, then retained by either sprag clips, seat pan tabs, or adhesive. Seat pan recovering requires skills that may be best reserved for a professional upholsterer.
