This chrome lifting handle, or grab rail was fitted to the Triumph T100, T150, and T160 models from 1973-1975, when the tail lamp housing was updated to the polished alloy casting, although it can be fitted to the 1971-1972 models. The gussets are drilled to accept turn signal stalks, where the earlier grab rail gussets were drilled for reflector mounting.
Sourced from TriCor in the UK, this is a restoration-quality reproduction grab rail finished in chrome.
The grab rail is used when lifting the motorcycle onto its main stand and solidifies the rear frame and mudguard assembly.
The forward stays are mounted to the upper shock absorber bolts, while the rear mounting tabs are attached to the mudguard. It is advisable to loosen the fender bridge and central mounting clip to allow adjustment for the tabs on the grab rail to align with the factory-drilled holes. In some cases, the slotted forward stays may require light filing to assure correct alignment with the shock mounting bolts.
