This stainless steel front mudguard was specified for the Commando models from 1972 through 1974, although it can be fitted to the earlier models that were supplied with a chrome guard. The central fork mounting bridge is incorporated into the design.
The genuine Andover Norton mudguard is manufactured in the UK to the original specifications with a beaded nose and a C-section profile. Suitable for replacement of the original 4-hole front fender.
The mudguard offers protection from the elements and serves as a fork brace, stabilizing the front fork assembly during cornering and hard braking.
This mudguard is fitted to the fork with looped stays at the front and rear positions. Drilling the holes is required to attach the stays to the underside of the guard. Removal of the wheel is recommended to ease the installation of the front mudguard assembly to the fork. Refer to the workshop manual for more detailed installation procedures.
