1. Search for a Vintage Triumph Fender by OEM
Reference your parts book to ensure what was original to your classic Triumph. Whether you need a 97-1675 front fender or a 97-1687 front fender, you can easily find your OE part number.
2. Razor (Plain) Edge, Lipped Edge, Rolled (Beaded) Edge
Note: There were 3 types of front mudguards fitted to the twins and triples listed above: plain edge, lipped edge and rolled (beaded) edge. You can also buy universal fenders if you’re building a custom ride.
3. Custom Channels
You don’t have to hack away at a brand-new fender to fit around the components of your Triumph, these OE parts come with those channels.
The genuine Speedwell mudguard is made in the UK and features the correct ‘D’ shaped profile and indents for the wiring harness and battery carrier clearance. The dimple towards the rear allows the tail lamp and turn signal wiring loom to pass under the rear frame loop with danger of pinching the wiring loom. This vintage Triumph fender also features an indent that allows clearance for the bottom of the battery carrier, so that it doesn’t hit the guard and damage the finish.
4. Critical Deburring on Other Edges
Under side of the fenders are rolled on the curve and deburred and smoothed on the channels to prevent cutting.
