The Koni-style Dial-a-Ride-type rear shocks are designed as an economical performance upgrade to most 1960s and 1970s-era BSA and Triumph twin-cylinder motorcycles. They feature adjustable rebound damping and progressively wound springs.
These shocks are appropriate for BSA and Triumph 500 650 and 750 models for years 1963-1982.
The shocks feature adjustable preload on the springs and adjustable rebound damping. They measure 12.9″ long from eyelet to eyelet, 24mm bushing width, and are fitted with 3/8″ mounting bolts. They are not correct fitment for Norton Commando models with 19mm wide shock mounting carriers on the frame and swing arm.
The rear shocks absorb impacts from uneven road surfaces. They work in concert with the frame, front forks, swing arm and tires to comprise the suspension of the motorcycle, resulting in a safe and comfortable machine.
The upper shocks mounts are fitted to the carriers on the rear frame, and the lower shock mounts are attached to the carriers on the swing arm.
