This ignition/lighting master switch body is a version of the 3-position Lucas-type 47SA, as suggested as a replacement for fitment to 1979-later Triumph 750 twin models. The ignition tumbler complete with keys is sold separately.
The genuine Lucas 3-position switch is specifically designed to be compatible with the wiring harnesses and circuitry used on the late-model Triumph T140 models equipped with the Lucas 187SA-type handlebar switch consoles. The ignition switch is housed in a center console between the instruments on the late-model T140s and will not fit into the left headlamp mounting bracket, as fitted to the 1978 and earlier Triumph models.
The original 4-position 149SA-type switch is available under Lucas part numbers 39784, 30552, and 54531899. This is the switch originally fitted to the 1979-1983 Triumph 750 models and carried the Triumph part number 99-7055.
