This kickstart crank and folding pedal assembly is manufactured to the later TR7/T140 condition, with the folding pedal that angles inward slightly when retracted. Originally specified for the 1976 and later Triumph 750 twins, this kickstart crank is a suitable upgrade for the 1969-upward Triumph and BSA 650 and 750 models and may be compatible with pre-unit and early unit models, where adequate clearance with the exhaust system is confirmed.

This reproduction kickstarter assembly features a high quality chrome plated finish and is complete with the folding pedal. Overall length of the kickstart crank is 9-1/2″, and 8-1/4″ from the center of the kickstart spindle bore to the center of the pedal pivot. Pedal length is 4-5/8″, and the diameter of the spindle bore is 3/4″.

The kickstart crank is coupled to the kickstart spindle with a cotter pin. A cushioning rubber cover, which is sold separately, is fitted to the pedal.

The kickstart spindle must be free of any burrs to allow the kickstart crank to be installed onto the spindle. Once fitted to the spindle, the cotter pin is pushed into the hole from the rear of the kickstart crank with the wedge facing downward to allow the pin to be captured in the machined flat on the spindle. After drifting the pin into place, the nut on the cotter pin is tightened.
