This matched set of silencers are suitable fitment for the 1969-1970 Triumph 500 and 650 ‘C’ models with high-level exhaust pipes. While the part numbers vary, they are also compatible with the 1971-1972 T100C and TR6C models. They may be adapted to alternative model year machines but are not suitable for fitment to twin-carburetor applications.
These silencers feature offset inlet tubes with an ID of 1-3/8″. Bosses are welded to the backside of the resonators for attachment to the mounting bracket. Approximate length is 23″. Made in the UK.
The silencers produce a throaty sound and are nicely finished in chrome. Internal resonators are packed with sound-muting material to offer a less restrictive finish to the exhaust system. They are designed to be mated to the exhaust pipes with an “H” connector and are covered with a heat shielding grill to protect the rider and passenger.
A series of mounting brackets and clamps complete the installation of the high-pipe system on the later “C” models. Refer to the factory parts catalogs for diagrams of the mounting arrangement and applicable part numbers of the necessary components for installation.
