The bottom fork nut retains the lower fork bushing and is internally tapered to fit the contour of the oil restrictor in the bottom of the fork lower member. This kit includes one lower fork bush nut.
The lower bearing nut is precision manufactured to original factory specifications by LF Harris in the UK. This fork nut is machined with 26 TPI CEI threads, suitable for fitment to the 1964-1967 Triumph twins with the pre-shuttle valve fork.
The special round nut has four notches cut into the flanges which necessitates the use of a special spanner to tighten the nut into the bottom end of the stanchion tube. We offer the lower fork nut tool under part number TBS-60-0527.
The fork tube assemblies must be disassembled to access the lower fork bushing nut. Consult the factory workshop manual for complete fork assembly instructions.Â
