Triumph 3TA 5TA T100 Exhaust Pipe Set 1958-1966 PN# 70-3992 70-3994

This exhaust pipe set is restoration-quality and is suitable fitment for the Triumph C-range unit-construction twins through 1966. Check the parts catalogs for fitment to your individual model year, as there are some variances in fitment for the 350cc T90 and 3TA models.

These exhaust pipes feature a chrome finish and are 1-1/2″ OD, with a 1-5/8″ OD flare at the inlet to fit over a 1-1/2″ exhaust port spigot. The fixing tabs are attached below the lower header bend for fitment to the early unit-construction 350cc and 500cc models. Made in the UK by TJ Wassell.

Properly fitting exhaust pipes ensure leak-free expulsion of exhaust gases from the cylinder head. There are fixed mounting tabs on each exhaust pipe to secure “L”-shaped mounting brackets to the extended front crankcase stud.

Each exhaust pipe is fitted over an exhaust port stub and retained with a finned clamp. When fitting the mounting brackets and silencers, it is advisable to leave all of the fasteners slightly loose to allow for alignment adjustments prior to tightening the fasteners and clamps.

Individually hand-crafted pipes that may contain markings from manufacturing and are finished to suit a daily rider (not show chrome). There may be residual polish from the factory but can be easily buffed to a nice finish.

Please note: Due to varying bans on the use of hexavalent chrome in the chroming process, this item will have varying appearance different than OEM standards. Chromers are frequently using trivalent in their processes. “It’s just not the same color. Hexavalent has that clear blue sheen, but trivalent is more grayish and smoky. Trivalent will not replace the look of hexavalent.”
