The famous “Peashooter” silencers were specified as original equipment on Norton Commando models from 1970-1974. This set of Peashooter-style reverse cone silencers feature mounting channel brackets that allow fitment to Triumph 750 twin-cylinder models, as well as other motorcycles with exhaust pipes terminating in 1-3/8″ outside diameter.
Finished in chrome-plating, the silencers have an ID of 1-3/8″ and an overall length of approximately 27″ with integrated channel brackets on the backside of each silencer. Made in the UK by TJ Wassell.
This set of silencers will offer a deep and throaty exhaust note due to the free-flowing design and may necessitate additional carburetor tuning and changes to the jetting when replacing the original restrictive factory Triumph silencers.
The silencer inlets are fitted over the ends of the down pipes and secured with clamps. The stock mounting hardware can be used to secure the silencers to the original hangers in most cases, although it may be necessary to drill or fettle otherwise to achieve optimal fitment while installing the silencers on some models. It is also advisable to loosely install the exhaust system to allow for alignment adjustments prior to tightening the mounting hardware.
