This integrated MOSFET voltage regulator/rectifier is the ultimate charging module for alternator-equipped vintage British motorcycles. Can be used with single or three-phase stators and its cool running reliability allows it to be mounted in tight locations due to its compact size. Ideal for upgrading the original equipment plate rectifier and Zener diode or older solid-state regulator/rectifiers.
The Tri-Spark MOSFET charging module features a 2-year warranty and offers real power output improvement from the stator due to the lower running temperatures of the stator windings. Compact in size, it measures 80mm x 67mm x 20mm, with the mounting holes 64mm on center. Heavy gauge wires are 2ft. long with two sleeves, allowing flexibility in mounting locations without adding jumper wires.
Offering compatibility with both Lucas and pattern 10A RM21, 16A RM23, and 14.5A RM24 stators, this regulator/rectifier module will suit both single and three-phase alternators, with its 20 amp rating. MOFSET technology refers to “metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistor”, where a thin layer of silicon oxide between the insulated gate and the channel determines the conductivity of the device. The low electrical noise makes this module ideal for eliminating misfires on electronic ignitions.
Can be fitted nearly anywhere on the motorcycle, as it does not require direct airflow, unlike most conventional diode regulators. The wiring instructions are included, and the module can be fitted under the seat, behind a side cover, or in some other convenient location on the chassis. Two slotted mounting holes are incorporated into the housing of the module for hard-mounting onto a platform.
