The European bend handlebar features a lower rise for a more forward-leaning riding position reminiscent of the sport-touring motorcycles from the 1970s and 1980s. Ideal for a café racer treatment without the extreme forward weight distribution imposed by clip-on handlebars.
The chrome-plated 7/8″ handlebar features a rise of 2.4″, overall width of 30″, 4.8″ pullback, and a center section of 4.8″. Suitable fitment to most British motorcycles from the 1960s and 1970s.
The handlebar is generally mounted to the top yoke with risers or cast-in clamps. There needs to be adequate width to accommodate switchgear, control levers, and a front brake master cylinder, where applicable.
When retrofitting a different style of handlebar from the original, cables often need to be changed to achieve correct fitment.
Please note: Due to varying bans on the use of hexavalent chrome in the chroming process, this item will have varying appearance different than OEM standards. Chromers are frequently using trivalent in their processes. “It’s just not the same color. Hexavalent has that clear blue sheen, but trivalent is more grayish and smoky. Trivalent will not replace the look of hexavalent.” You will also see in the photos that in some areas where the bars bend there is a light texture in the chrome.
