This reproduction distributor cap is the correct fitment for the early-1960s single cylinder models from Triumph and BSA, as well as the Royal Enfield Bullet 500. Suitable for use on the Lucas 15D1 distributors.
The genuine Lucas distributor cap is a “push-on” type that fits snugly over the distributor. Features the original-style black finish over the metal body. Made in the UK.
The distributor cap protects the electrical components in the distributor from exposure to the elements. It is pressed on to the top of the ignition distributor. A cutout allows access for the points wire terminal.
The cutout must align with the points lead terminal, and the cap is pressed into place over the top of the distributor.
