The matched set of reproduction petrol tank trim strips are designed to cover the seam on the top of the early Triumph oil-in-frame petrol tank. Finished in chrome plating, as originally specified.
Sourced from Tri-Cor, in the UK, the front strip measures 8-11/16″, while the rear strip is 11″ (excluding the fixing hooks).
The trim strips and the central beading holder form an assembly to finish off the appearance of the petrol tank. The beading holder also secures the tank to the frame with the associated hardware.
The strips are clipped into position at the front and rear of the tank, then retained by the beading holder at the center mounting point on the top of the tank.
