Correct intake manifold gasket for the 500 Triumph twin models with 5/16″ mounting studs. For the 1968 model year, the cylinder heads were standardized for the T100C and T100R models, and both the single carburetor and twin carburetor manifolds shared the same gaskets.
This paper gasket seals the joint between the intake manifold and cylinder head. The 26mm bore and 5/16″ stud holes differentiate this gasket from the earlier 70-2967 manifold gasket. A quantity of (2) gaskets are required in both the single carburetor and twin carburetor applications.
The intake manifold gasket prevents air leaks when properly fitted between the cylinder head and manifold. Sealants are not recommended for this gasket application.
The carburetor(s) and intake manifold(s) must be removed to install this gasket. Not compatible with the 1958-1966 350 and 500 twin cylinder heads and manifolds. Refer to your parts book to verify correct application.Â
