This set of contact breaker points is the correct fitment for the 1968-1972 single and twin-cylinder models from BSA, Norton, and Triumph. Not compatible with the earlier 4CA points plates used through 1967.
Sourced from K&S, these points are an economical reproduction of the Lucas 6CA 54419827 contact breakers.
With the gap and timing correctly set, the opening of the contact points interrupts the current at the ignition coil, sending a spark to the spark plug.
The coil(s) and condenser(s) must be in good condition to provide reliable ignition. The points are fitted to a plate with adjustment provisions for gap and static timing at full advance. Consult your workshop for more details on ignition timing procedures.
