Introduced for the 1971 model year, this matched set of silencers were specified for the BSA and Triumph 650 twins and 750 triples. Hand made in small production runs, there may be very minor imperfections in materials and plating.
These reproduction silencers feature the classic megaphone styling and have 1-1/2″ ID inlets with an overall length of approximately 26-1/2″. Can be fitted to either side of the motorcycle as the mounting system is the same for each side. Made in the UK by TJ Wassell.
This style of silencers produces a throaty, yet somewhat subdued exhaust note, due to the baffling, which is similar to the factory original silencers.
The inlets of the silencers fit over the ends of the exhaust pipes and are secured with clamps. There is a mounting channel on the backside of each silencer for the bolts that attach to the mounting brackets. It is advisable to loosen the exhaust system while fitting the silencers to allow for adjustments to the alignment prior to tightening down the hardware.
