The crankshaft degree /camshaft timing disc degree wheel is an essential tool for any vintage British motorcycle mechanic, as it allows for accurate engine position when setting magneto, points, or electronic ignition systems. Although designated for use on Triumph models, this kit can also be used on some BSA and Norton engines.

This timing disc kit includes the degree wheel and the adaptive hardware supplied with 1/4″-26 TPI threads for use on most pre-1968 Triumph exhaust camshafts.

This timing disc kit is especially useful for cam timing when marks are not present on the pinions and when setting up aftermarket or performance camshafts.

The adaptor is threaded into the end of the camshaft, and the degree disc is fixed to the adaptor hex, allowing the user to identify crankshaft position. A pointer can be fashioned from a spoke or thin welding rod and is attached to the engine in a fixed position, used as a reference when reading the graduations on the timing disc. Refer to the factory workshop manual for detailed ignition timing procedures.
