The intake valve is important as it must seal the combustion chamber during compression.
This valve is appropriate fitment for Triumph 650 and 750 models, specifically: 1964-1966 T120 only, 1967-1982 650 and 750 models.
Standard factory correct intake valve, as original equipment. Made in the UK by LF Harris.
The valve must be correctly fitted to the valve guide, with a minimum clearance of .003″. When replacing valves, it is advisable to lap in the new valve face to the valve seat to achieve a good seal.
A valve spring compressor must be used to remove and re-install valves in the cylinder head. A qualified machinist is often the best option for valvetrain work on cylinder heads to ensure proper fitment of the valves.
