A must have service tool at a pittance of a price. In case you don’t know this tool serves to lock the crankshaft at either 38 degrees or top dead center (T.D.C.) making it easier to
- A) static time your bike, and
- B) check that your alternator rotor and primary cover timing pointer are indexed correctly (we have seen many that weren’t and had been used to incorrectly strobe the timing).
