This is the correct side stand spring for the Norton Commando 750 and 850 models from 1971 through 1975.
This genuine Andover Norton side stand spring measures approximately 7″ inside the hooks and is constructed of strong and durable spring steel. Made in the UK.
The condition of the spring is important to the proper function of the side stand. A worn out or incorrect spring can allow the side stand to sag when retracted, causing a safety hazard while cornering.
The spring is fitted to the frame with the eyelet end, and to the stand with the hooked end engaged with the mounting tab. A rubber buffer is fitted over the stop peg on the stand.
