BSA 441 Victor Special models were specified with a single high level exhaust pipe, which had minor variations for the square-barrel models from 1968. This exhaust pipe is suitable fitment for the 1968-1969 models. Not recommended for fitment to the 1966-1967 round-barrel models.
Finished in chrome-plating, the exhaust pipe is 1-3/8″ OD and is approximately 22-1/2″ in length from the outside of the bend to the end of the pipe. Made in the UK by TJ Wassell.
The exhaust header is the “push-in” type and is secured to the front engine mounting lug with an integrated welded-on stay. A silencer was fitted originally, but a spark arrestor is often fitted to the exhaust pipe when the motorcycle is used off-road.
Replacement of the exhaust pipe is straightforward as there is one fixing point to attach the pipe to the frame. The silencer is clamped over the end of the pipe and is attached to a mounting bracket on the rear subframe.
