The early unit-construction BSA twin-cylinder scrambler models were fitted with a heat shield on each high level exhaust pipe. This shield is a faithful reproduction of the original factory part. The shield is not supplied with hardware.
Finished in chrome, the oval-shaped shield has (2) mounting holes that are spaced approximately 7-1/4″ apart. Made in the UK by TJ Wassell.
Heat shields are designed to cover a bare exhaust pipe, deflecting heat away from the rider’s leg. The shield is attached directly to mounting bosses on each exhaust pipe.
The shield can be installed without removal of the exhaust system. It is simply bolted onto the welded-on exhaust pipe bosses, secured with 1/4″-26 panhead screws.
