Amal 26mm 626 premier series carburetor as fitted to Triumph 500 single carb twins from 1968-1972
This carburetor utilizes material updates which reduce the rate of slide and body wear, a precision engineered idle circuit, with removable pilot (a.k.a. idle) jet to improve performance from idle and reduce fuel consumption. The new forged alloy, hard anodized throttle slide has a low friction surface for smoother operation and less wear than originals and the ‘passivated’ body resists corrosion.
They’re also equipped with the new ‘stay up’ ethanol resistant, puncture proof float and the new alloy Viton tipped needle for improved fuel flow control as standard features.
Carb comes fitted with #4 throttle slide, 180 main jet, 106 needle jet and #17 pilot jet.
