Made in the US by Barnett, this premium quality cable features the adjuster barrel and lock nut, alloy ferrules, and a friction-reducing nylon lining for easy operation and longevity. Overall length measures 46-1/2″, sheath length is 43″, with an inner wire free length of 1-3/4″.
The cable is pulled by the motion of the twist grip, allowing it to articulate in the operating arm. The adjuster barrel assembly is threaded into a slotted trunnion which also is allowed to swivel within the support arm. Fine adjustments to cable lash are made by the anchored barrel adjuster and the individual adjusters on each carburetor’s cap.
The twist grip body must be separated to access the rotor, which pulls the end of the cable. At the linkage end of the cable a slotted and threaded trunnion on the support arm anchors the adjuster assembly. The remaining free length of inner wire has a long nipple end that is captured in the operating arm. Once fitted, final adjustments must be made to ensure that all three carburetor throttle valves lift in synchronization.
