Triumph Rear Brake Switch D Shaped Washer(s) 1963-1974 PN# 82-5413 F5413

This special washer is meant for use with a thin strap to affix the brake switch carrier to the rear brake rod. The flat edge of the washer conforms to a bend in the strap, preventing the washer and nut from turning while tightening the screw.

The flat washer is stamped in a “D” shape, and is part of the rear brake switch linkage, which connects the movement of the brake rod to the chainguard-mounted brake switch.

• 1963-1970 650 models

The washer is part of an assembly that connects the rear brake switch to the brake operating rod. The washer forms an abutment for the nut to hold it in place when tightening the retaining screw of the brake rod linkage over the brake rod.
