Premium D.I.D motorcycle chains are manufactured to the highest quality standards in Japan. The non-O ring 530 final drive chain is compatible with many American, British, and Metric motorcycles from the 1950s through the 1980s.
The D.I.D 5/8 x 3/8 pitch chain is supplied in a 110 link condition, making it ideal for use on motorcycles originally fitted with even-length chains. Can be shortened to fit applications calling for 102, 104, 106, and 108 links with the provided connecting link.
The final drive chain delivers the power from the engine and transmission to the rear drive sprocket. The condition of the chain and sprockets should be monitored frequently to prevent failure while in service. Frequent cleaning and proper lubrication will prolong the life of the chain and sprockets.
The old chain can be disconnected at the joining link and connected to the replacement chain to pull it through the tunnel behind the primary chaincase, riding on the countershaft sprocket. Once the replacement chain emerges, the connecting link can be removed and the old chain is discarded. The new replacement chain can then be connected after wrapping the remainder over the rear sprocket, with the chain adjusters and spindle nuts loose. Final adjustment of the chain tension is made in accordance with the factory workshop manual.
