With the new Triumph and BSA oil-in-frame models for 1971, a major restyling took place. The new front-end arrangement included the fixed wire stay mudguards, which incorporated a revised mounting system to the alloy lower fork legs. The same fork was also used on the 1971-1972 BSA A75 and Triumph T150.
This is the updated short chrome front mudguard with the fixed wire stays, including the center vertical braces, as specified for the US-market 1972 Triumph TR6C, BSA A65, A70, and A75 models, and 1973 Triumph X75 models. Tip to tip measurement is approximately 22″. Genuine Speedwell manufactured in the UK.
The front mudguard provides protection for the rider and the motorcycle from the elements and serves as a fork brace, stabilizing the front fork during cornering and hard braking.
The fender stays are clamped to mounting brackets on the fork lowers with rubber bushings. Removal of the front wheel eases the installation of the mudguard.

Please note: Due to varying bans on the use of hexavalent chrome in the chroming process, this BSA chrome QD crinkle hub rear rim will have varying appearance different than OEM standards. Chromers are frequently using trivalent in their processes. “It’s just not the same color. Hexavalent has that clear blue sheen, but trivalent is more grayish and smoky. Trivalent will not replace the look of hexavalent.”
