Description
The torque stay is an important component in the engine mounting system, as it stabilizes the top of the engine in the frame.
This torque stay is the later “stepped” version, as fitted to the 1980-on Triumph 750 models. Can be used on earlier models if the spacer is omitted. Made in the UK by LF Harris.
The stay is mounted across the top of the rocker boxes and is fitted to a carrier on the frame. The stay controls unwanted movement of the engine unit in the frame during hard acceleration. Omission of the torque stay will result in excessive vibration.
The stay is fitted to the frame with a captive nut inside the frame-mounted bracket.
LF Harris motorcycle spares are produced to the highest quality standards possible utilizing original Triumph tooling, dies, factory blueprints & materials combined with modern manufacturing equipment, tolerances & techniques.
