This Triumph skirted chainguard is the correct fitment for the 1964-1968 Triumph 650 models. May also be fitted to the 1963 models, replacing the 82-5371 one-year only chainguard.
Sourced from the UK, this chainguard is a quality manufactured reproduction made to the original specifications and finished in black.
The chainguard is fitted to the swinging arm to offer protection to the rear of the motorcycle frame and rear tire in the event of a broken chain while riding the motorcycle. The chainguard also partially encloses the drive chain to prevent oil and road grime from fouling the motorcycle and rider.
Removing the rear wheel to fit the chainguard is usually required to avoid damaging the finish of the guard. The front and rear of the chainguard have tabs located to attach to the swinging arm. The chainguard outer panel will have to be drilled for mounting the brake switch.
