Triumph 650 Crankcase Oilway Plug Bolt 70-4539
The oilway plug is useful for cleaning the oilway from the scavenging oil pick-up tube to the oil pump mounting face on the timing-side crankcase.
The oilway plug is a 5/16″-22 TPI x .312″ bolt threaded into the timing-side crankcase and sealed with a copper washer. The plug allows access to the oilway from the pick-up tube in the crankcase.
Removal of the oilway plug allows cleaning of the oilway during an engine overhaul, or when troubleshooting lubrication system problems. It plugs the oilway to the scavenge side of the oil pump.
It is threaded into the timing-side of the crankcase below the oil pump and is sealed with a copper washer.
