Self-locking nut to secure brake drum onto rear hub. Self-locking feature obviates the need for a lock washer to prevent loosening.

5/16-26 TPI (CEI) locking nut used to fit rear brake drum to hub, and on other locations on the 1966-69 models.

Used on various locations on Triumph twins where vibration was a concern and a locking 5/16″ nut was called for.
