The selector forks are a very important component in the Triumph transmission, as they are responsible for moving the gears along the shaft. Worn out selector forks can contribute poor shifting and erratic gear engagement. This lovely mainshaft selector fork fits Triumph 350 and 500 twins, T90, T100C, T100R, etc.
The selector fork fits in the groove along the side of the sliding gear and is located by a peg with a roller that fits into the camplate.
As the camplate is moved by the shift quadrant, it changes the position of the selector fork and the sliding gear on the mainshaft. The sliding gears then engage with the fixed gears to complete a gearchange.
The transmission must be removed from the gearbox to inspect and replace the selector fork.
