The seat trim is an important and functional detail when recovering a Triumph seat. It not only adds an attractive accent to the seat cover but protects the vinyl seat cover from abrasions at the bottom edge of the seat pan.
The chromed nylon seat trim is .450″ wide, which allows for more coverage than the standard trim, making it ideal for hiding small tears in the upholstery near the base of the metal seat pan.
The seat trim is spread and applied to the seat cover edge a section at a time, working around the perimeter of the seat base until fully fitted. Any excess trim material can be cut off with diagonal cutting pliers.

Just a note to thank you for the excellent product you supplied. My ’69 Bonneville has desperately needed its chrome seat trim replaced ever since I bought it several years ago. I hadn’t been able to find the taller version of this and figured I would just have to live with the cruddy looking original.
