Triumph T140D Front Fender Chrome 97-7065

Correct for the 1979-1980 T140D Special models, this reproduction front mudguard embraces the custom styling featured on this model with its short “bobbed” design. Can be fitted to other Triumph 750 models when paired with the unique 97-7004 mounting bridge and 97-7073 strengthening channel.

With an overall tip-to-tip length of just over 23″ this fender is shorter than a traditional front mudguard and is installed without fender stays. Featuring a pressed nose and chrome plated finish, this guard is pre-drilled to fit the original mounting bridge. Manufactured to original equipment specifications in the UK by LF Harris.

This front mudguard provides limited protection to the motorcycle and the rider from the elements but effectively stabilizes the fork assembly and minimizes stiction when fitted with the robust fender bridge and strengthener.

The T140D front fender is assembled to the mounting bridge and strengthener assembly, which is attached to the drilled lugs on the fork. The front wheel may be removed prior to fitment of the mudguard to ease installation. It is recommended to leave the mounting bolts to the fork slightly loose until the wheel is installed to optimize alignment.
