1977-80 T140 Triumph Front Pressed Nose Fender Chrome 5 Hole 97-7003, 97-7039
Suitable for the 1977-1980 Triumph 750 twins, this pre-drilled chrome mudguard is used exclusively on the models fitted with a single lower stay and the 97-7004 mounting bridge assembly.
This genuine Speedwell Triumph front pressed nose fender is made in the UK and features the original pressed nose and chrome plated finish. Pre-drilled for fitment to the bridge used from 1977-on. The end to end measurement is approximately 25-1/2”. While slightly shorter than the original specification for the T160 front fender, this mudguard can be substituted for the original 97-5053 lipped fender, as fitted to the 1975 T160 model. Not suitable for fitment to the 1979-1980 T140D models.
The mudguard and bridge combination not only serves to deflect water and dirt away from the motorcycle, but also offers rigidity to the front fork, particularly when braking and turning.
Removing the front wheel prior to fitting the mudguard is the preferred method for installation. Refer to the factory workshop manual for details on wheel removal and fender installation.
