The later Norton Commando and 1979-onward Triumph 750 models equipped with hydraulic front disc brakes specified the Lucas 2SH brake switch.
This genuine Lucas reproduction switch is a direct replacement for the original 2SH front brake switch specified as part numbers 34619, 06-1934, and 60-7155.
The switch senses when increases in hydraulic brake fluid pressure are applied and triggers the circuit to close and send the electrical signal to the tail lamp bulb bright filament.
The switch is fitted to a T-shaped block with inlet and outlet Bundy pipes threaded in to allow the flow of brake fluid from the master cylinder. The hydraulic brake system must be purged of air after fitting the switch. Two wire leads are connected to terminals on the switch.
