Dave started out owning a bicycle shop and bought some motorcycle inventory from a dealer that had retired. He wanted to augment the downtime in winter time and thought he’d learn a thing or two about motorcycle parts. After fixing up about ½ dozen of his own bikes, Dave started getting inquiries from others about fixing up their motorcycles.

Dave’s favorite bike is the Triumph TR6R from 1970; He’s owned 5 of them at this point. Check out Dave’s 10 footer series we’re he does some repairs to a TR6R.

In 2001, he bought a 1971 T120R Bonneville off of eBay. He learned how to set up a Boyer electronic ignition system and decided to move on to his next challenge – a 1971 TR6R. From there, his experience fixing and selling went up to 25-30 bikes. BSAs were the next challenge along with Norton Commandos.

When Dave got into this business at Arvada British Cycles and Old World Bikes, he had some great mentors that came up in the 50s and 60s and learned how to tell when parts were in spec, when something needed to be double checked and when something could be reused or needed to be replaced.
