The Lucas RER25 “Reflex” reflectors were fitted to many British motorcycles and automobiles in the late 1960s, including Triumph and BSA twins from 1968 through 1970. This amber reflector assembly includes the rubber backplate for fitment into the mounting bracket. Some BSA and Norton models employed a simple bracket for affixing the reflector with a screw. The screw and nut are included with this reflector.
This genuine Lucas amber reflector assembly features the original-style embossments on the lens and is finished with an attractive chrome bezel. The outside diameter measures approximately 2″.
The amber reflectors are generally mounted under the petrol tank on most models. BSA singles and twins were affixed to an “L” bracket, while the Triumph models specified a stamped steel housing for the mounting bracket. Side reflectors offer visibility for safety and were required on motorcycles imported to the US from 1968 onward.
The reflector can be mounted to a bracket with the supplied fixing screws or can be pressed directly into the reflector bracket housing and retained by the circular channel on the rubber backing plate.
