Triumph Connecting Rods Set 71-3006
Suitable for fitment to the 1973-onward Triumph 750 twin-cylinder models. This set of matched and balanced connecting rods are a direct replacement for the original short rods as specified for the 724cc and 747cc engines with 82mm stroke. Not compatible with the earlier 650 twin-cylinder engines.
Manufactured to original Triumph specifications in the UK by LF Harris, this set of reproduction connecting rods measure 6″ long on centers. Supplied with steel rod caps and clamping bolts and nuts.Â
Unlike the 650 twins, Triumph 750 twin connecting rods do not accept bronze small-end bushings. These connecting rods are supplied with (2) sets of nuts and only the locking nuts are used when assembling the rods to the crankshaft journals. The plain nuts are fitted to protect the threads on the rod bolts and are omitted upon assembly.
Replacement of the connecting rods amounts to an important step in the engine overhauling process and close tolerances in the fitment of the big-ends to the crankshaft journals must be observed. Engine building is a significant undertaking and may be best left to an experienced specialist possessing the necessary special tools to complete the task.Â

LF Harris motorcycle spares are produced to the highest quality standards possible utilizing original Triumph tooling, dies, factory blueprints & materials combined with modern manufacturing equipment, tolerances & techniques.
