Triumph T140 Bonneville Seat Cover and Triumph Tiger Seat Cover
The dual seat is a prominent part of the restored motorcycle, and the seat cover should be finished in the correct pattern and color. This black-top cover features the correct ribbed basketweave pattern, as specified for the 1973-1977 US-market 750 twins.
This black cover is accented with black piping separating the basketweave top from the smooth side flanks. The chrome inlaid trim strip and (12) sprags are included in the seat cover kit. Made in the UK.
For correct fitment of the cover to the seat pan and foam, the metal base must be free of damage and rust. The foam can be reused if still soft, compressible, and retaining its original shape. Replacement seat foams are available and often used when the seat cover in installed.
The seat cover is stretched over the foam padding and seat pan, then retained by sprags, seat pan tabs, or adhesive. A separate trim strip around the base of the seat pan finishes the seat cover installation. Seat recovering requires skills that may be best reserved for a professional upholsterer.
